Another King

Welcome to Another King, a weblog written by three young Christians and inspired by Acts 17:7, “they are saying there is another king, one called Jesus”. This was the jealous accusation of the Jews in Thessalonica regarding Paul and Silas as they were telling the people of a king greater than Ceasar, King Jesus. We want our lives and this blog to be marked by the service of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This king is the Creator and there has never been a moment when he has not existed nor been ruling over all things. It is faith alone in Jesus Christ alone which is the only route for salvation. We are Covenanters, the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland, and believe Christ to be head in church and state.

Formerly we co-wrote a blog entitled Don’t Make Friends With Salad (all posts and comments can now be found here at AK) but we felt a name change would give the blog a facelift and a clear purpose. Furthermore the Old Testament prophet Daniel enjoyed salad (Daniel 1:12)  and we wouldn’t want to disagree with him! Incase you are wondering what you will read on this blog, we believe Jesus rules over all things, so there isn’t really much limit on what you will find at Another King. We hope to bring you posts about many mission teams as well as  comments on currents events, what we’re getting up to or anything else we think you should know about or might be interested in. Christ is King over all.
